We encourage our Educational Partners to use their syndicated KidsHealth® Online Library within digital and print channels to engage parents, kids, and teens throughout the patient journey. Creating a consistent voice for families across channels provides a cohesive and integrated approach while also maximizing return on investment and engagement.
Below are guidelines and examples for how to use your KidsHealth content within different channels and formats:
Patient Education:
KidsHealth articles and features may be printed for patient education and general use. Partners are permitted to make unlimited copies during the term of the license, provided the information is being used for educational purposes, not for resale.
Partners may access the “printer friendly version” which includes your custom branding using the print icon at the bottom of every article. This version will also include the necessary KidsHealth copyright and disclaimer text.
If a new piece (e.g., a brochure) is being created, partners must include the KidsHealth disclaimer and copyright language that is included in the printer friendly version:
Note: All information is for educational purposes only. For specific medical advice, diagnoses, and treatment, consult your doctor. © (current year) The Nemours Foundation. KidsHealth® is a registered trademark of The Nemours Foundation. All rights reserved. Used under license.
Marketing:
KidsHealth allows partners to include its syndicated content within newsletters, blogs, social media, etc. When creating teaser text that will link to your licensed KidsHealth content, the article description that surfaces in your KidsHealth search is a great place to start.
For instances when a KidsHealth article needs to be shortened for a specific channel, partners must include the following byline with a link to the original content:
Content for this <article, blog, etc.> was created using abridged references from the KidsHealth® article, <article title with hyperlink>. Used under license.
Please note, KidsHealth takes great care to ensure all content is balanced, medically accurate, and thorough. We strongly encourage partners who use abridged content to have a clinician review the edited version to validate the medical integrity of the new piece.
Promotion:
Partners may use our graphics and illustrations to promote their licensed KidsHealth content within their own channels. Please note, the KidsHealth graphics and illustrations may not be edited and must include the copyright that is part of the image.
Partners who wish to use a KidsHealth graphic in printed materials, please contact us to request a higher resolution version of the image.
PR and Media:
KidsHealth encourages partners to work with their media contacts to enhance exposure in the community. If the media would like to reprint a KidsHealth article as it appears on your site, they must include the following byline with a link to the original content:
Source: <Partner Organization> in partnership with KidsHealth®. © (or current year). The Nemours Foundation. Used under license.
Digital Tools:
As part of the patient care journey, KidsHealth encourages content integration into digital tools and platforms. To discuss custom integrations with technology solutions used by your organization, please contact partnership@kidshealth.org to schedule a meeting.
If you have any additional questions about using your syndicated KidsHealth Online Library, please let us know.
Thank you for all you do to promote children’s health and wellness in the communities you serve.
